I am looking for help with the fuse on the left in the photo. THis is my brake light fuse. I cant find anything online that tells me its any different than a regular mini fuse like the ones on the right side of the photo.Can I simply put a mini fuse of the same size in its place?

The fuse looks like one that will automatically reset itself after tripping. Could be you have a direct short to ground some where that keeps causing it to trip every time it tries to reset itself.

Looks like a circuit breaker to me.

Probably an auto reset breaker.

This is the original fuse. I have never replaced it, and yes it does reset as I now have brake lights again.

As I suspected when I first looked at the photo:
Buy BUSSMANN BY EATON 21220-00 MINI CIRCUIT BREAKER online at Newark element14, an authorized BUSSMANN BY EATON distributor.

That is a circuit breaker... You can get a replacement at most all auto-parts stores

A fuse blows once.. A circuit breaker can reset and trip many times.. I had one fail on my A/C in this rig.. Since the diagram shows a fuse.. not a Breaker,,I saved much on hair cuts before I found it and replaced it.

Two types of breakers

1. Resets automatically

2. Resets ONLY after supply power has been chopped then restored

In all my years have not seen a auto reset fuse use on brake lights. I'm thinking someone put it there. Maybe for a problem?? I'd put a regular atm 20 fuse and see if it blows. If it dose not leave the atm 20 fuse in and done.. If it blows fix whats doing it.
