Then do the same with 3156 LAMP BULB SOCKET
CREE is a brand of LED chip. They cost more but only manufacturers of good bulbs use CREE chips. Your guarantee.
Embed the 3156 lamp socket BASE into the 120 volt lamp base using BLACK SILICONE SEALANT available at auto parts stores.
Lose the ugly 120 volt lamp wire and replace with transparent twin SPEAKER wire. Very supple. I use the silver color wire for positive and copper wire for negative.
3156 bulbs and sockets have THREE wires. One is always a ground.
Your choice. Remaining two wires select either low (tail light) or high (brake light). Join both together and WOW bright city.
It may take several days for all that black silicone to set up and harden.
