Not really a Tech Issue item, but maybe a set of tires for the 5er.
The original tires on the 2003 trailer (built Oct 2002) are still on there ( only with fancy shiny wheels I got a few years ago.) with now 19,500 miles on them. Lots of tread still on there though.
According to the trailer Forums (Fora? Forae? Fori ?) My Goodyear STs should have been replaced at least eight years ago but there is nothing really wrong with their sidewalls or treads from UV or whatever, as confirmed by a Tire Guy. They don't get much sun. Had a couple of punctures plugged over the years.
The last puncture didn't even show for a while (unknown time) till I eventually did one of my tire pressure checks, because the other tire on that side took the weight ok. No idea how long I went on one tire that side. Obviously there is plenty of margin in the weight ratings!
Still, I am almost convinced Doom is upon me for going so long on the 2002 Goodyear STs (which say "Tread made in Canada" on them--no idea where the rest of tire was made! :) )
So that is an X-Mas possible. More likely I will re-do the floor again. The dogs are tough on carpeting. Money will be spent on something! :)
