What size hole on hitch
What is the size of the hitch pin hole on a class III hitch? I tried a 5/8 but the pin doesn't fit, it's just a hair bigger that the 5/8 hole

The hole must be larger than the pin. Even a precision milled 5/8” pin will not slide into a precision drilled 5/8” hole. Hammered in maybe. Has to have a little play.
