I've got an enclosed bottom on my TT which is basically just large Coroplast sheets screwed to the flange of the outer frame. There are a few access points where the pigtail goes in, the fresh water drain comes out, etc. that are nothing more than flaps taped shut. The problem I am having is that nothing seems to stick to the Coroplast long term. I've tries duct tape, all-weather duct tape, Gorilla tape, reinforced duct tape, all work for a while and eventually just let go leaving the access panel flapping in the wind.I even went online and bought special underbelly tape specifically made for mobile homes and the same thing. I clean the area with alcohol pretty thoroughly and it seems like I get good adhesion every time but a few months later it lets go.Anybody have any suggestions or know of anything that works????

Even Coroplast's makers acknowledge the difficulty of making things adhere to it- evidently the very imperviousness that makes it durable/chemical resistant results in "resistance" to most adhesives, too.Corplast's product page does make this very tentative "recommendation":Coroplast wrote: A: Polypropylene is great for many uses due to the fact that it is resistant to chemicals; unfortunately the same properties make it difficult to bond using chemical bonding agents. Screws stick to a lot of stuff.

Put a piece of wood or something on the back side and screw it so 1/2 in or so is over the hole. Then screw the flap to that, or get creative and leave a stove bolt hanging down, put a hole in the flap and a wing nut.

I've had Eternabond stuck to the coroplast panels I added for over 8 years. Of course, I've had good luck with Gorilla tape too. Sounds like a good cleaning first might be the issue. Also, you could buy a sheet of coroplast and manufacture your own little access panels with screws or hinges. I paid under $20 per 4'x8' sheet.

Make a little wooden toggle about 2" long. Drill a hole in it. Fasten it to the belly with a long machine screw, two nuts (above and below toggle) and a dab of Gorilla glue. If you don't want it to show, put it atop the flap, turn it with the screw head. If it can show, put it on stationary part, so that it overlaps the flap when closed.

X3 on the Gorilla tape or you can get a roll of window flashing tape. Both work great. The window flashing tape is about 6" wide.

Eternabond worked for me. I had to cut the underbelly to replace the grey tank valve. Eternabond has lasted for 6 years.

When I cut access panels in my underbelly I used a combination of Gorilla Glue and industrial strength Velcro. I cut one side of the Velcro in half lengthwise and glued to each side of the cut. That was a pain in the neck since the glue takes awhile to set up and needs to be held in place. The uncut strip of Velcro covers both sides of the cut and makes for easy future access.

BTW, I tried just the Velcro first and the glue backing didn't hold long.

How about riveting or screwing on some kind of hardware?

This swivel hasp is probably overkill, but for under four bucks at Home Depot and in a "doesn't show" spot it would do the trick...

Black Gorilla Tape has held for almost 2 years.
Be sure to clean first.

Instead of using wood screws you use small machine screws with nut and washer (nut and washer go on the inside). Although you could sub in small blocks of wood behind the coroplast then use the wood screws.

Then you can use a small carabiner to go through the hasp loop...

Much more permanent than any tapes or glues and solves the problem for ever.
