What to use to clean oily film on outside of 5th wheel

Deodorized Kerosene (not diesel) works wonders for me. But immediately after washing each section I follow up with Dawn and a good rinse. Unfortunately anything seems to remove polish wax in the process. It all boils down to a lot of work IMHO.
