What's some ideas on keeping propane flowing in the cold?

I'll have them do my tanks for moisture. Yesterday I had them filled and the guy was looking for the expiration date on them. He told me my tanks were to expire in 2018. I may just buy some new ones too. How cold has it been? Well, the first time is was -22 and the other times it was around 0-10 above. I'm sure the regulator is getting some age and I do leave both tanks on. I also thought about a small heat tape around the regulator, like the ones you would put on a water pipe.
