What's some ideas on keeping propane flowing in the cold?

On a few occasions we've traveled in cold weather and the propane generator and furnace will shut off. Usually we wait a few minutes and can fire everything right back up. I know it's the tanks freezi...

I believe Chris is on the right track. The single tank cannot vaporize quickly enough to feed the generator + furnace + water heater + refrigerator + ? I just bought a 150,000 BTU propane heater for heating a shed and the manufacturer recommended a minimum of four 100 pound tanks to feed it, all together in a manifold. I ended up plumbing in a 100 gallon tank into the building.
