The issue I am talking about is with a brand new, out of the box generator. We never had any issues with the old one starting except when it was -5 to -25 below. Then we had to play with the choke a bit until the oil warmed up. When we switched to Mobil 1, that problem went away.
I'm wondering why a brand new one starts hard and won't run right. It appears others have had this issue also. My fire department has a 3-4 year old honda and it has no problems either.
