If you are buying the tailgater used have the present owner show you how well it works on your RV. Most RVs in the last 10 years are wired with RG6. Prior to the popularity of satelite it is true RVs were wired with RG59 which doesn't work well with satelite. Check the coax type by looking into the box at either end of the coax. 2nd: Even new RVs require some basic changes because the cable connection usually runs through an amplifier. These mods are usually minor and easily made once you realize a satelite connection has to be a direct connection. Amazon sellsca cheap patch panel for about $12 that works well and better than trying to use an AB switch.
