ONE, it is the wrong type of cable and thus the signal loss if it is used is too great (That is in most motor homes and trailers, SOME.. they use the good stuff)
Second, it does not go where you think it goes, it goes to some electronics and the rule is no splitters etc other than Digital Equpiment Switches between the antenna and the receiver. THIS is the big reason it will not work.
Many people do find the other end of the cable (If you have a box with MANY buttons it hooks to the back,,, If you have a wall plate with a switch, LED Antenna and 12 volt accessory outlet.. IT Hooks to the rear.
You can disconnect it and it may well work.. But you'd do better to run good quality RG-6 to either a basement or bulkhead (Through wall) Connector somewhere.
Dishes with external power will work through ther external cable connection. I've done it.
Will the smaller cable not work because of the power pushed to the Tailgater?
