I now have a wireless thermometer for in/out temps. I placed the remote sending unit under the passenger side near the gasoline filler. I did not want it to get wet too close to the back of the wheels. The sun is shining on the outside where I put it and the temp was 85F when inside was 69F. Does anyone have a better place to mount it? Thanks, Pete

Many mount an electrical J-box underneath the RV for the remote.My trailer has a J-box with a few low voltage electrical connections inside. I had room to put the remote in the existing J-box. It needs to be in the shade.

I put it inside the refer cover just above the lowest vent - it is out of the weather and secure. When the refer is operating, it pulls air from outside over the sensor, rendering a fairly accurate outdoor temp. The only time it is off is when we are setting, with the sun glaring directly on that side of the RV. It's worked fine for many years for us.

I have two sensors. One goes on the top step and the other goes by the wheels on the opposite side of the RV. This way one usually gets the sunny reading on one and the shady reading on the other.If I only had one I would put it on the north side of the RV where the son will not shine on it.

I put mine in the back part of the king pin housing. Out of the sun and weather, and I remember to put it away when hitching up.

In the LPG cabinet, but I do get a false high reading when generator is on.

We just lay ours on the shelf under the door side slide. It's out of the sun and when the slide comes in it's safe for travel.

I velcro'd it to a spot on the steps where the sun don't shine and the rain does not reach. If you locate it too close to the RV, the heat from the RV will influence the temperature reading.

Small class A, up under the hood in front of the Engine and radiators. Ours has a battery mount tray there, and lots of circulation so sun heat doesn't have much impact. When driving, lots of ambient air circulating, so we don't get too much road heat.

Best place I could find in my fiver was the propane tank enclosure. Tied down with tie wraps.

I placed mine in the LPG bay. I used wire to make a holding strap and mounted it to the wall, it is in the shade and out of the elements away from road spray. JMO

I put mine in my LP bay, attached to the regulator cover. When we had our '86 Toy/Dolphin, I attached the sensor to the inside wall of the LP bay.

I like the pin box location, but found when it's real cold it still gets some radiant heat-I glue mine to a piece of steal behind my steps-it's part of the step frame-generally always shaded and really is separated from the body enough to limit most radiant heat.
