which grease for wheel bearings on tt

Question

Large variety of grease available to repack wheel bearings, how do you choose.The old standard is lithium  but there is also a lot of synthetic in the market, are they any better.

If you repack yearly, a good practice, either will do IMO.

Who makes your axles?  Dexter has a recommended list of grease on their website and Lippert may too.

Lithium has proven itself. But main thing is make sure you do not mix grease types.

My Chinese made bearings don't seem to care about the grease. I use a grease made for wheel bearings but not the high temp kind of grease.

I just use the Valvoline red grease from my FLAPS. It's a lithium soap, I think.
