- 3000w I would be at 24v and probably a Victron Multiplus. Especially to tie in with a smallish generator.
I almost bought one back in 2006 but opted for Prosine 1800. Still works fine and does all I need. Now with solar I have skipped on any need for a generator. - mlts22Explorer IIIf cash wasn't a problem, I'd go for the Magnum Energy hybrid PSW inverters. That way, you can run your A/C, and the initial locked rotor amps that would overload a 3000 watt Yammy will be shared by the generator and the battery bank.
- westendExplorerDo you plan to use the inverter to power your whole rig?
- 2oldmanExplorer IIMy Samlex is a good heavy unit and working well. I would definitely want a hard-wire option in getting one that big. And I personally would never buy the cheapest.
