Which is better - (3) 12v batteries vs (2) 6v batteries

I am looking to replace an old coach battery with AGM batteries for boondocking usage. I have space for (3) 12 volt group 24s without having to do any modifications, but could also just use 2 of the b...

why not 2 6 volters and one 12 volter? then when one of the 6s goes South, you still will have 12 volts to limp by on
