Which is better - (3) 12v batteries vs (2) 6v batteries

I am looking to replace an old coach battery with AGM batteries for boondocking usage. I have space for (3) 12 volt group 24s without having to do any modifications, but could also just use 2 of the b...

So here's another. While mixed going from 90 down to 50, I have a suspicion, based on some not too clear observations, that the bad are dragging down the good faster. Is that likely?

Since the recharge occurs at 12.1v regardless of the time it takes to get there, should I care?
