Which is better - (3) 12v batteries vs (2) 6v batteries

I am looking to replace an old coach battery with AGM batteries for boondocking usage. I have space for (3) 12 volt group 24s without having to do any modifications, but could also just use 2 of the b...

"Covering the action" is what I want to know more about. smk says that once the batts are all full individually, you can bank them on a single float charger, and it will cover anything bad going on between the different types/ages of batts.

True?
