Kinda taking a poll here. What do you think is better for keeping the slide out seals pliable? Or do you have any other stuff that you use?
Aerospace 303 Protectant...
Baby Powder....
Spray slide out lubricant....
Just wondering.

Ron ... My vote is for "just wondering"....hear that's an excellent product for almost everything.... lol - TwomedExplorer303 only... easy to apply, spay some on a foam paintbrush, no mess. ALL rubber seals.
 - BFL13Explorer IIBought our "2003" trailer new 10 years ago. Never used anything on the slide's wiper/seals. The wipers flex in and out depending on slide movement. No problems. The seals are a sort of stiff foam sponge inside. Can't imagine what baby powder or 303 etc would do except make a mess.
 - fprestoExplorerBaby powder (talc with perfume added) is what my owners manual recommends for the seals. Do not confuse the seals with the wipers. The wiper is visible on the outside to remove water and/or debris. The seals are on the inside. I use 303 on the wiper and baby powder on the seals.
 - old_guyExplorerI bought my first TT with slides and got on u tube to see what to use and they all seemed to think baby powder was the way to go. well any way the guys who didn't have an interest in 303 said baby powder works just fine.
 - Old-BiscuitExplorer III303 is best
But I'm cheapskate and do a talcum powder dusting....going on 8 yrs. and seals/wipers still in great condition - harold1946ExplorerAnother vote for 303.
 - lanerdExplorer III have heard of seals sticking to the outside (or inside) walls during hot weather and then when trying to open/close them, the seals will pull out of the slide lip, tearing the rubber.
Seems to me that the powder (baby or otherwise) would keep the seals from sticking. That said, I am a real fan of the 303 protectant and use it on just about anything and everything....so probably will continue to use it on my slide out seals.
Thanks to all who responded.
Ron - TechieExplorer+1 on the 303.
