Which is the better deal? Solar Panel

Okay, next problem. I was going to order 2 100 watt panels from Solar Blvd after clicking the link above by smkettner. I get to the shipping and it says 2 x 42 lbs. The specs say one panel is 25 lbs. Should be 2 x 25 lbs. I don't think there is 17 lbs of packing for each panel. Ripoff?

AND I looked at the address bar in my browser and it has a red x on the padlock and a slash through the https. I click that and it says: This site uses a weak security configuration, so your connection may not be private. :R Son of a , I may just go with the Home Depot site.

I'd go poly, but not necessarily grape.

If space is a premium. Otherwise watts is watts. Efficiency just makes the panel smaller for same wattage.
Actually for PWM controller compare Isc as that will be the amps you get.
Virtually the same between panels these panels.

Not saying either is better. Just something to compare.

That one is 14.7% efficient vs 19% for the Grape Solar. Seems like a big difference on that spec.

Whatever is best for your needs is, to me, the better deal. You have to live a lot longer with the panel than the deal.

Depends what you want - more watts or cheaper per watt.

I'm usually the one to buy quality items for long-term use, but it seems that with few exceptions today's buyers are stuck with unknown makes from big black hole called China. So... Ignore the warranty blurb.

160W @$1.20 per watt is costly, but if you only have room for this one panel - install it and be done with it. Normally, I would choose 100W Poly over 100W Mono. But then again wattage is the king, 100W poly will harvest less energy than 160W mono.
