Great information. I have to say that I've at least learned something from all this. I bought a cap for no reason but thats no big deal as I've also learned that what I have is perfectly fine. I'll just toss in the toolbox in case I ever need it. Really the idea behind the hard start cap for me was so I maybe could run the A/C on a 20 amp circuit and not harm anything. My older TT could easily run the A/C on a 20 amp outlet but it seems the more "technically advanced" stuff of today pulls more electricity.
