Why did Onan kill the EC-30W generator controller?

Looks like Onan killed the EC-30W generator controller. Right now, the alternatives are either the Onan EC-30, or the Magnum Energy generator controller, plus the control panel. I wonder why Onan ...

Blah. Maybe I might just see about a wired unit then. It is more reliable anyway, and much harder to hack.
