- azrvingExplorerBecause the electric is in the daily price? I know some start charging for the electric when renting by the month. So they may want to burn it if they are paying for it AND they are helping to put shoes on the feet of energy workers kids and others all through the chain.

At least that is what may Mom would yell at me when I left door open - TomG2ExplorerEspecially true in government parks where the electric is included in the rate. "The government is paying for it, so let's waste it". Great example for the kids.

You win! - pappcamExplorerI do it so I keep the fresh air flowing in the trailer. I've already paid for the electricity in my nightly camping fee.
It may seem selfish or wasteful but I usually only have the main screen door latched and no other windows open. I still need to go in and out and it also allows a lot of light in during the day. - SDcampowneroperExplorer

You waste a non renewable resource, and force us to pass on the cost to other guests. Do you do this in your home?
Sask Power is primarily coal fired generated, as I remember from working at Coronach and Estevan

Let me know which campground it is so I can avoid it. :B - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerJust paid my bi-monthly electric bill. 147 kWh. 74 per month. Eleven dollars eighty eight cents total. 22 gallons of butane lasts me 13-months. And I ate out 5-times in the last year. I cook at home. I cannot help but feel a lot of RVers up there have lost touch with reality.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIMy friend built a 50 site RV park.
Installed digital meters on each power pedestal.
For 2 reasons....
Any/all sites could be used for monthly/long term where RVr pays for electric
Can check daily usage and charge for excessive daily use (or have proof when he asks them to leave due to their excessive usage)
Never have been able to understand how folks justify their actions that they wouldn't do at home/to their own stuff
