I got one of these to use before going on short boondocking trips. I have enough water for my trip and don't end up tankering excess weight.
It could be used for measuring tank capacity.
I found it to be very accurate. I agree with the reviews that it is poorly designed on the hose end. The hose connection popped off mine shortly after I got it. I realized that the inner diameter of was just right to tap with a 3/8 NPT and install a metal connection. No problems since then.
