Another issue is that you likely have a MSW (modified sine wave) inverter, not one that make a sine wave like the voltage from the power line. Let's just say that MSW inverters and microwaves are NOT the best of "friends". Without getting into lots of details, running a microwave on a MSW inverter usually requires a bigger inverter than you might think or calculate.
