wifi passwords

You cant, and morally(if you care) you probably shouldn't. Many coffee shops, McDonalds, etc offer free wifi. Many cell phone plans now allow "hot spot" access via your own phone included in your monthly plan. That's all I use now when on the road.

We have many WIFI hot spots all around here but very very few are open to the public without required passwords... I'd rather create my own secured WIFI HOT SPOT anyway... Then I don't have to worry about who is on the other end hehe...

In addition to all of that. I have cell phone service from AT&T. AT&T has thousands of WiFi access points worldwide. My phones will automatically connect to them when ever I am close enough. The passwords are built in and automatic. Verizon has the same deal I think...

"Free wifi" signs are popping up in all kinds of businesses now, many of which make you wonder why. And those typically do not require a password.

Wifi for free in public places and in many businesses open to the public is becoming commonplace. Just as free coffee, bottled water in waiting areas at car dealerships. A very cheap way to retain customers. Nice thing is at least with my iPhone is once I connect to one of these wifi spots the next time I'm there it remembers me and signs me on automatically.

It used to be that open WiFi spots abounded because people just weren't concerned with the security involved. Those days have passed and almost all WiFi spots are no encrypted. People are just a little more aware of what goes on with their internet access.

My home cable provider has an app which supposedly allows me to log in using my regular account and passwords to any wifi service which shows up on their app and which supposedly will allow me full speed service and the same security as I have at home. Most of these places are smallish businesses like smoke shops and nail salons. The cable company says that these providers receive a lower service fee for agreeing to share their bandwidth and that all is secure. Call me skeptical, but I have not yet tried this service and am not sure that I ever want to.

YouTube is just saying you can find wifi with no password.
How is it possible? You need to ask the person where you connect with no password.
You will not get on my wifi without a hack. This is the only one I control.

I was at a Laundrymat this morning and was updating some iPhone apps from my Sprint service data. There was one update that was over 1GB and could only download from WiFi.

I checked for any Free WiFi nearby. A cable company Xfinity offered 1 hour Free WiFi plus paid day, week, month service. Or if you had home service from them the password for it.

I only had to give them a fake email address for the Free hour. It was fast 29-30Mbps download on a speed test and 3 up.

For using any Free WiFi service it is best to use a VPN service when using them. And they are Free VPN services avalible.

The reason you have to put in a password is because someone is having to pay for the wifi service, and the amount of data used. And doesn't want just give that away to just everybody. Contrary to what many think, wifi service is not free, and is NOT a constitutional right. Communication services are expensive, and are paid for by those using them. If you want to play, you gotta pay. You can drive by my house, and see the WIFI, but you can't use my time or data unless I want to let you.
