Those who have said you need to do an energy audit are the ones telling you the only way to know for sure.
For what it's worth - I'm totally happy with a single 100-watt solar panel. I do have two six-volt golf cart batteries, however.
I have a small (250-watt) inverter that I use for cell phone charging and occasional TV-viewing when off-grid. We are not usually off-grid for more than 2 or 3 days. I have a 2200-watt generator along for the ride if we are going to be off-grid for longer periods.
Bottom line is - it all depends.
