The aftermarket dash heat / A/C systems on most Class A's are dismal, especially when compared with the OEM dash systems in Class C's.
I've seen several Class A's with auxiliary 'bus heaters' added in various spots, usually under the dinette or behind the drivers seat.
As was stated above though, the furnace should run off the house batteries and alternator just fine while underway.
