Will laser heat sensor find inadequate battery cables?

Just curious if I can use one of those heat gun devices to detect inadequately sized battery cables and connection points in my solar system? I'm only getting 15 minutes of run time on my 1200watt ...

Ron,

The simple answer to you question is - No.
I have tried this and it was not as effective as finger tips.
The problem is that the field of view that the devices use is just too large. I have had better luck at finding bad connections with bare finger tips and mine aren't all that good.
