Will laser heat sensor find inadequate battery cables?

I use the millivolt range, then measure voltage drop across every connection. Red lead on the battery terminal post, black on the cable leaving the connector, then keep going down the chain.

You could also connect black to ground and measure each point with the red but most cheapo meters only display a few decimal points.

By using the millivolt range you get more resolution.
