Will shore power run equipment when battery is dead?

Our travel trailer has been sitting for several months and hasn't been plugged into shore power, so I suspect the battery is dead. I've plugged in the shore power but nothing will turn on. Is this...

As a last ditch try for the battery, connect jumper cables from your tow vehicle for a half hour with the tow vehicle running. IF the battery shows life at this point, it may, be salvalgeable.
