False there is no reason to ever get AGMs. I had to get them to mount inside the RV. I was unable to mount them outside in this case, or I would have, and used Wets. Wets give off nasty fumes while AGMs don't.
Another advantage of having them inside is that they keep higher capacity where it is nice and warm, where outside in the cold they lose 15% of rated AH by being at 33F instead of 77F, same as Wets do.
Having spent the big bucks on AGMs, you want to believe I do what the AGM guides say. If that is "fussing" to do what you are supposed to do, then so be it! :) Kind of like doing oil changes for your car when you are supposed to. You can ignore that for a while, but....
