Winegard Cell Internet "stuttering" during streaming

I've been struggling for several months with this.  Winegard has been ZERO help.  I'm suspecting it was an update they screwed up.

I have plenty of speed to stream.  I literally have to reboot at least once a day, sometimes more frequently.  Once it's rebooted, I can push the system to my speed limits with no issue.  But over time, it gets worse and worse until I reboot the system again.  It's like a buffer full issue.

Has anybody else seen this and found a solution?

  • The title of your thread doesn't make sense. Wingard isn't a cellular internet company. It simply boosts an existing signal. Boosters are great but depending on your location, they can't work miracles and allow you to stream on a signal that's too weak. Try measuring your signal with and without the Wingard booster and compare strength. Also, is it possible your cellular company is throttling you?

  • Winegard cell based router.  I have plenty of DL speed, lowest is 30M, and I'm only 0.7mi from the cell tower.  Doesn't matter what time of day or night,  It will start stuttering while streaming.  Rebooting the router will 99% of the time cure it on first reboot, sometimes takes a 2nd reboot.  I have zero issues with using either phone as hotspot.  I wasn't paying enough attention, but it seemed to start after the last firmware update, well over a year ago.  According to WG, nobody else has an issue (yeah, right), and there's no way to roll back to a prior level.

can you pick a lower quality of stream?  maybe you have it set for to high a resolution and it can't handle that through put.  I know I have the option in netflix to change what resolution to default to when streaming.
