No to both of your questions. The antenna will never operate properly on a 7 degree slope. In most cases, there is a much more level area on a 5th wheel, it just means a longer coax run, even if it has to be across the top of the roof. I have a long coax run on the roof for convenience and the coax has been there for something like 7 years without in indication of degradation.
