We don't watch much t.v. when camping, but is nice to have when we do want to watch it.I finally decided to replace the 13" analog t.v. that takes up way to much space under the bench seat. I figure losing the big box and the digital converter box will save enough space to justify the cost. We can upgrade to a 26"-28" (roughly $100.00)... doubling our viewing pleasure. Ah, I mean saving space.Since I am on the upgrade the t.v. kick....I Figured I would upgrade the Winegard on our 2012 TT, by adding a wingman as well. Some demos show removing "4" plugs to clip on the wingman. Some demos show removing "3" plugs. I checked....my antenna is of the "3" plug variety.Hear comes that "question" that may seem stupid, but I don't want to go thru the whole returning product cr@p.Is there a difference when ordering for a "3" plug or "4" plug???? I was going to order the t.v. off of Wallyworld, and they have the wingman (it says 4 plugs). Are they universal, or specific to the 3-4 plug models. Seems like a simple question....yet I can't find the answer?????

I'll just add, that you first need to go up top and look how much room you have left over when the antenna is in the down position. Some RV's the ac is in the way when adding a wing man to it.

There is one Wingman, compatible with all Winegard Sensar batwing antennas. Depending on the antenna, you will use 3 or 4 of the attaching plugs.Had to cut off one of the elements due to interference; booster helped some.Doug

I am assuming they probably are multi-fit, but since we all know what happens when we assume, And I do not feel like having to do a return...I thought someone one here might have the knowledge I seek. I would have just asked winegard, but their operator was off-line.

Local dealer had the WINEGARD WINGMAN in stock for a buck or two more than Walmart claimed they could have one shipped to me via 3rd party. Third party would have it here by the 27th, so I splurge, spent the couple extra bucks.

The results....

Easy to see, once the product was in hand, that either 3 or 4 plugs could be used, depending upon the SENSAR it is being installed on.

without WINGMAN-49 channels, two locked but were not watchable, so I would call that 47.

with WINGMAN--51 channels, all watchable.

net gain would be 4 channels. Not that dramatic when comparing 47 to 51, but I bet I would appreciate those four if it was 5 or 9.

Wingman is drilled for multiple configuratrions.. Pick the holes that you need. 3, 4 wide or narrow spaced, it handles them all.

Just one caution: Not all "Batwings" are Winegard.. The Wingman is a Winegard and designed to fit ANY WINEGARD.. Not knock off brands.

I too added the wingman to my 4 hole... it is universal fit... And it also improved my reception and channel amount . .

This is what I wanted to hear (see). I figured the wingman would have holes to line up for either 3 or 4....just wanted to make sure that was the case.

Call it a case of over-thinking. Just didn't want to do the return thing if it ended up under-thinking.

I just did the Wingman update on my Sensar antenna. I only needed to use 3 of the 4 plugs that came with it.

I'll just add that I've installed one of each on my previous and current coaches. Both Wingmen were identical, only the number plugs needed for the installation varied. But both came with four...

I did find your comment to be a bit of a snipe at me.

Typically a snipe comes when one "digs" a bit for the OP not knowing something that is obviously common knowledge. Since the snipe was erroneous(appearantly 4 plugs are old...winegard has update to 3 plugs)... I could not help pretentiously telling you the correct answer.

BTW...I already climbed onto my TT to confirm it has three plugs...no need for you to climb onto your rig to confirm what YOUR rig has.

This is what I would assume, since one video I saw mentioned four plugs on older antenna heads (he was installing on a 3 pin/plugs head). Just did not want to risk a "return" process if someone had the facts. Atleast you acknowledge the 3 or 4 plugs, unlike others who insist I don't know how to count (on my own antenna), or lack the skills to do the research.
