In the U.S. there are about 40 stations out of almost 1800 full-power stations that are broadcasting on the low-VHF channels (2-6) so for most people the reduced performance for low-VHF will not be an issue. I agree the low-VHF lack would not be an issue for MOST people, that's why I said "...for my use..." I'm currently parked at our upstate NY cottage, and the CBS network station transmits on RF channel 6 from about 35 air miles away. It's not likely that the Rayzar Air would work here for that channel. I'd also note that the Sensar 3 does work fine here for RF channel 6, and also has excellent bi-directional pickup on the VHF channels with or without the Wingman installed. UHF channels of course, are very directional with the Wingman installed.
