I currently have the sensar 111 antenna and am considering getting the wingman accessory for it. Can any of you give me any feedback on good/bad, great idea, or don't waste your money?thanks

The Wingman improved our UHF reception more than enough to make up for the small cost and 5 minute installation. The antenna does require tighter aiming though, which is always a tradeoff for the stronger signal a highly directional antenna pulls in. I use TVFool.com to locate the optimum aiming directions.

Your timing is great. We are in Palmer, Alaska and the park has no cable. Well of course we lost use of our Direct deal somewhere down in Canada. All the channels here are OTA from Anchorage and digital. Well since we very rarely use the antenna, when we did raise the aerial and our screen was blank. Thought a moment, ah, digital bit us. So we were in Anchorage and I bought the Wineguard Wingman upgrade. Put it on last evening, about five minutes, daylight to midnight, so no rush. Well it brought in some stations but also didn't bring in some that were listed on the CG listing. So today I go across the road and get a Jack (brand name). Sort of a delta winged shaped head, small. About another five minutes removing the Wingman that I put on yesterday and mounting the Jack which is a direct replacement for the Wineguard head which was about another five minutes. We went from 10 stations to 18. The trailer never moved so we are comparing apples to apples. Just my experience.

That only means the Winegard was not properly pointed. The Winegard with a Wingman will out perform a Jack head to head in all cases if properly pointed. Take a look at the head to head comparison of the 2 units which is documented on this forum.The good news and the bad news about the Winegard antenna is exactly the same. It is highly directional. Good....when properly pointed it will get the best signal at the best distance. Bad....if not properly pointed you may not get all of the available channels.To make it all very easy you should add the Winegard Sensar Pro and you get the best of everything.
