Winter camping at Monument Valley

Going to spend a few days in Monument Valley December/January.
Read about 25% failure rate on Camco 25 ft heated water hose. Sounds risky. Wrapping a 25ft hose with heating tape and then insulating the thing appears to be the only alternative.
Any other suggestions?

  • Right! Don't leave the hose out. Connect to water, fill, disconnect and drain hose. Rinse / repeat as necessary.
  • The only way I had success was to fill then drain the hose. Better than money spent for nothing only to end up with a split hose. Yeah it's a pain. Yeah it's winter. Better than melting snow with a campfire I guess.
