Winter camping at Monument Valley

Going to spend a few days in Monument Valley December/January.
Read about 25% failure rate on Camco 25 ft heated water hose. Sounds risky. Wrapping a 25ft hose with heating tape and then insulating the thing appears to be the only alternative.
Any other suggestions?

Right! Don't leave the hose out. Connect to water, fill, disconnect and drain hose. Rinse / repeat as necessary.

The only way I had success was to fill then drain the hose. Better than money spent for nothing only to end up with a split hose. Yeah it's a pain. Yeah it's winter. Better than melting snow with a campfire I guess.
