Winterizing question

Although I have winterized a Class A in the past, this is the first time I have winterized this particular model myself. I have drained the water heater and the fresh water tank; however, there remains some water in the fresh water tank, above the drain outlet. This model uses a system that pumps the RV antifreeze through the lines via the water pump, but does not put it into the fresh water tank. How can I drain the remainder of the water in the tank?

  • I close my drain...I don't want anybody crawling up there in the winter.... and there is not enough water to expand and do any damage
  • Thanks, Kevin. I will do just that (The dealer has always left the drain plug off).
  • On my rig I leave the tank drain valve open and ignore any small amt of residual water - plenty of room for it to expand if/when it freezes. Gone over 20 years without a problem.
