I'll get you some number tomorrow. assuming no conversion loss, calculate the watts loss at the input, swag say from your numbers that 0.3Vx8A = 2.4Watts. OK on the output assume 13V so I= 2.4W/13v or about 0.2A.
not much. But again, I'll run through some numbers to verify run resistance, Imp etc.
BTW I run up to 100' of wire for my portable panels @160W and have worst case about .5A loss due to power loss in the cable. cabling is all sections of 30A RV cord. Take the ground wire and run it in parallel with one of the other conductors, doesn't make any difference which one to cut down resistance. basically makes the cable as 1 10g wire and one 8 ga wire.
