Should be able to repeat those AH tests with MPPT next year with same conditions (location and date) Plotting the curve should show that effect.
Salvo's old graph of MPPT vs direct does show shoulder hours of 2.5a vs 3a then 5 vs 5.75 then 8 vs 8.3 mid-day. So the MPPT effect gets smaller in proportion as the sun rises
But the absolute gain in amps stays about the same all day at say 1/2 an amp so the AH gain is not greater during the shoulder hours than at mid-day. Unless I am mixed up again. :(
Were the panels wired in series when tested?
