I just replaced a dimmer switch in my truck camper. I used wire nuts to connect the wires. Now I am starting to think I should have used "automotive" type connectors. Any experience or thoughts? W...

Wire nuts are fine if the correct size and installation.
Maybe not REQUIRED by code but I believe 3M at least still recommends pretwisting .
