Wire temp question

so i have never seen it mentioned, but i was playing around with some voltage drop calculators and i noticed they never mention what the temp the wire will run at????


example below, apparently a 8 gauge wire can do 300 amps at 13.8v at 1 foot

but what is the temp of the wire? how do i know what insulation rating it would need?

i never see this mentioned to be honest, people just oversize the wire, but i figure someone smarter then me might know.
