It's confusing mostly to RVers. Would you go to an appliance store and order a 80A dryer for your house? Most likely your decision is gas or electric w/o discussion of BTU's or electricity.
Most of us just think of 2 50A circuits knowing that we don't have 240V appliances in the rig. Because that is what we use - 120V. 240V appliances in a RV are rare.
