Wire up 220V dryer in 5th wheel?

We would like to buy a Whirlpool laundry center for our 5th wheel. It is 220V and fits into the space allocated.. Can I just tap into the RVs 50 amp load center with a 220V CB and run wiring to a 220V dryer receptacle? I believe the 220V dryer is more efficient and speedier.

  • You might have to get creative with the 240 V circuit breaker. My electrical center wouldn't take the usual breaker.
  • Can't really see why not. There is 240 volts at the main panel Getting it out may be a problem because they never give you any room for more breakers. Maybe you will be lucky. don't forget you will be using about 24 amps during drying so you will have to watch what else you use during that time. Good luck
