If (IF) everything is wired correctly, it doesn't matter exactly how you close the circuit - connecting those 2 posts the last or one of the remaining Pos/Neg.

But... Even if everything wired correctly, it's better to connect batteries to each other first, then loads and ground, and then turn the loads ONE BY ONE.

If you wire all the loads and turn them on first, the spark on those 2 last posts between the batteries will be big.

There was not even a little power with old or new. Batteries.
The power panel has a blinking g light green when 110 volts connected
110 volts make everything work including 12 volts
The red and Common connections on the PANEL show con ected on the meter
No 12 volt even from truck

Do you have any meter or test light?
What is the combined battery voltage?
Any battery switch to turn on?

Verify the main 12v fuses are good in the 12v panel.

Check for a DC breaker near the batteries, positive line goes there first. May be blown. Some are resettable.

If plugging into 120 makes everything including 12V lights work, then the converter is working. If everything goes dark when you unplug from 120, then the batteries are not connected at some point. You may have a battery disconnect switch or a self resetting circuit breaker that has failed. If you can, follow the battery cables and test for voltage through every connection.
