Wiring diagram ?

Hi All,

I have a 2000 Thor Citation M30-U T.T. I need to add 2 12v outlets (cigarette lighter type)to the bedroom. Does anyone have a resource for the wiring diagram for this trailer or any info on where I can tie into 12v wires?
  • I was afraid somebody was going to say that R.R. The water pump is under the bed. Maybe I can tie into that?

Bruce - That's why I wanted the wiring diagram. I just bought this trailer and I have no idea where the power center is and the owners manual is of no help.

    Thanks for your responses guys.
  • If you can, route your wires from each of the power ports back to your 12V power center and hook into a known fuse. There's nothing worse than hooking into an unknown circuit, then popping the fuse to the fridge... or now you have no heat.

I added two power ports , one on each side to the rear storage compartments in our MH so I could run that 7 amp tire compressor. It would pop the 5A circuit breaker in the accessory panel (radio, powerport) on the passenger outside of the MH, and eventually the 7A fuse in it's own plug.
These powerports have dust covers, and are routed directly to the fuse panel to a circuit with very little load on it.

Sometimes finding a spot for power ports & the associated wiring can be a pain - but keep looking, you'll find something.
  • If you have ever seen fifth wheels built you would see that it is nigh impossible to find a 12 volt wire in the wall. I don't think manufactures even supply a wiring diagram that would be helpful in your case.

My recommendation would to be to splice into the wires going to a light fixture. Hopefully you can find a light that you can remove and get to the wires so you can splice in and run your new wires hidden under the ceiling or behind wall paneling or cover your wires with a wire cover glued or screwed to the ceiling.

I installed some 12 volt plugs in our living area by splicing into some 12 volt wires that supply the refrigertor. I managed to fish the wires up into the wall next to the refrigerator. Turned out real good.
