The California Redemption Value Program is still alive. I dropped off my recyclable containers this morning. I have no idea where the material goes now. That said . . .
I use a different non-corporate family run local area recycler. Today, I noticed the local RePlanet space was empty and the bins were gone. IMO, a good thing. Their business was poorly run so I stopped using them. Half the time I went there (many Los Angeles area locations) they were open, but, not accepting material because their bins were full. Some of the time I went there and they were supposed to be open, but not a soul in sight. Hopefully they found someone to recycle their recycle bins and their employees since it looks like they won't be needing them anymore.
