What does that have to do with recycled materials? The ethane is a petrochemical, it is cracked to ethylene in a plant like the one in the photo (when it is completed) and made into all sorts of synthetics. And those synthetics for the most part end up in land fills. Not a speck of recycled plastics are involved in the process.
The future of recycling may be that some time in the future it may be cost efficient to mine landfills for organics and metals.
