After having several 5th wheels in our camping life, we decided to try out a motorhome.
Our reasons were primarily they are easier to back into a site and maybe drive, I'm questioning this decision.
We have had our used 2013 mh for two months and have had no fewer than a dozen issues. Every time we stop at a campground I'm working on something. We full time in it so once we get to a cg for an extended time it has to go into the shop.
First of all the guts of a MH versus the 5th wheel are exactly the same! So you can't blame the toilet problem on it being a MH! :B:W:B
I full time and my MH has NOT seen the inside of a repair shop in 6 years!
I have ALL my maintenance and repairs done right at my CG site where ever I happen to be. It's called RV Mobile Repair.
They come to you at your site. They are VERY experienced of all things RV and 99% of the time have the part you need on board or they will have it the very next day. Usually your MH is repaired in one day as you sit back in your lawn chair watching with a cold one.
Just ask the CG owner who they use for RV Mobile Repair. They will give you the number of the best one in the town you happen to be in. AND they are far less expensive than any RV repair shop. And IMHO far more experienced.
