With 270 bank starting with 80% - 4 hours before float - with combined efforts of 30A solar and 60A generator charger - sounds like normal time. Mere 60AH to top up. Shouldn't take much longer without PD70 input either.
I see a similar picture on my low-end 300 AH AGM, with 30A solar alone. No generator charging (since no A/C). Though mine start with 85-86%, entering 14.6V stage after 3 hours. 14.6 stage lasts 1 or 2 hours, then 13.6 stage is triggered by low accepted current.
I hear all the time about "waking AGM up with high current". Didn't notice them ever wanting more than 20A before 14.6V and not sure if I should be worried about this, given 85% start. Waken up or not, they are full in early afternoon, stop taking charge shortly after they've entered 13.6. Very high self-discharge though. Crappy Chinese jars.
if NO A/C is needed, i can get 6~7 hours from a 1.6 gal tank
That would be zero gallons in my case - no generator when no A/C is needed ;)... OK, no fuel discussion, sorry Mr Wiz...
